Textile Industry
Hi everyone, today I’m going to talk abou the textil
idustry and their repercution in the future.
- What is the textile industry?
The textile industry is primarily concerned with the design, production and distribution of yarn, cloth and clothing. The raw material may be natural, or synthetic using
products of the chemical industry, I hope in a future we can use technology for
make clothes (smart clothes), I am going to see that before I die.
- What is the problem of the textil industry?
The calling fast fashion diverge of textil industry,
this problem actually have consecuence now but in the future can be worse.
The most probably this industry are going to pollute
the enviroment, clothing is the second
largest pollution source in the world. Pollution from clothing starts well before an
old T-shirt is tossed in the trash. Textile pollution happens throughout the
entire production of products, starting as far back as the farming process. For
example, conventional farming for fibers like cotton relies on heavy pesticide
use, while manufacturing synthetic fabric relies on the use of non-renewable
energy sources, like crude oil.
In the future this big companys are going to shatter diferente
places who are voluntarily or not, engaged in the creation of clothing
- Which country is the largest producer of textiles?
China is currently the world’s largest textile
producer and exporter of both raw textiles and garments, accounting for over
half of the global textile output every year. India is another one of the world’s largest
textile producing countries and largest textile exporters. It holds an export
value of more than US$30 billion a year.
- Who will be most affected?
The fast fashion impact in huge, aruonf 40 million people are working at the garment factory, whitch 4 millon people are located in Bagladesh, this place more than 5000 factories produce for western brands.
The hazardous effects of the use of toxic fertilizer in the farms aore the highest in india, pakistan and bangladesh. Us companies baded in south carolina mixed largeamounts of hazardous wastes into a shipment containing fertilizers. The wastes contained huge quantites of lead and cadmium.
This shipment was purchased by Bangladesh. Before the reality came into limelight, it was used in farms across the country. Children sprinkled these fertilizers in farms without any protection and were negatively affected by its exposure.
- What action can be taken regarding this problem?
Some diferent actions can be:
- we are going to buy in the second hand, reduce our clothes just only whit the necessary
- we aer going to re-use diferent types of textil, form make new things
- personay, i´mgoing to reduce my consume and buy in the second hand.
- We can say the industry textile stay in
crisis?
In
recent years, sustainability has become a major trend in the textile industry.
Consumers are better informed and increasingly expect ecologically and socially
acceptable products and thus sustainable solutions in the textile industry.
Manufacturers are increasingly committed to tapping innovation potential and
promoting sustainable development. Sustainability strategies range from
sustainable designs and the use of innovative materials and processes to the
optimization of resource consumption and recycling. We are going to find the way
for challenge the global textile.

The truth is, I find that the subject is extremely interesting, I knew that the flow of fashion meant a problem but I did not know the many pollution problems that the industry brings
